What issues are priorities of yours and, if elected, how would you address them?
As a council member I would continue to support our great police, fire, public works, school, library, and park departments. I would welcome comments from residents on issues that are before the council and will encourage the appointment of advisory committees. I would diligently prepare for meetings, as I have always done in the past.

My priorities are to: make a smooth transition to a city; work (collaboratively) with the mayor and other council members; carefully evaluate all mayor appointments; thoroughly vet city budgets; support school building programs; strive to make all schools level 1 or level 2 schools; address traffic situations across the city; find solutions for vacant shopping centers; require adequate parking for all new developments.

I will use my experience as a former member of the Ways and Means Committee to understand financial options when creating a budget. I will use my experience as a member of the Rules Committee to create and approve bylaws. I will work collaboratively with the other members of the Council and the mayor. I will encourage the mayor and the Council to study issues and take actions that make a difference for Framingham.
Experience matters, but achievements are what count.
