The City Council's job is to vote on:

• The city budget

• The mayor's appointment of division heads and a members of multi-members bodies

• General and Zoning Bylaw changes

My goals for the council include:

• Adopt appropriate procedures for voting, especially on the budget

• Carefully vet the budget through subcommittees

• Thoughtfully plan for future expenditures

• Consider candidates for appointments and not 'rubber stamp' mayor appointments

• Encourage citizens to bring issues to the council

​

As City Councilor I would:

• Continue to support out great police, fire, public works, school, library, and park department staff.

• Would welcome comments from residents on issues that are before the council

• Support the appointment of advisory committees who vet administration proposals and provide valuable insight and help make decisions that are best for the community

• Support the CFO and her budget process which has resulted in holding the line on tax increases but recognize that we have significant school and other building projects to address soon

• Do my homework before voting on issues that come before the Council
